ICHIJYU Industrial Science and Technology Promotion Foundation

“Japan has extremely limited natural resources,” declared the very first Nikkiso chairman, Shinkichi Oto. “That makes individual productivity especially important. My goal is to help enhance our quality of life by fostering industrial science and technology.”

Inheriting both this vision and property, Nikkiso founder Keijiro Oto established the foundation in November 1962. Many of the factors that define Japan have changed little since the foundation was created. The significance of the foundation’s existence and the importance of its activities continue to grow. Our purpose is to contribute to the development of industrial science and technology, thereby contributing to society and helping to realize the mission identified by our founder.
