Announcement on the Supply of Hemodialysis Systems
to Nipro Corporation outside Japan

This is to inform that we, Nikkiso Co., Ltd have decided to supply Nikkiso hemodialysis systems to Nipro Corporation for its sales at agreed limited areas outside Japan.

Recently, the global market for the renal therapy-related products has been expanding in correlation with the increase of patients receiving dialysis treatment and to the improved longevities thanks to the development of medical technologies. In order to meet the increasing requirements for advanced technologies for medical treatments and delicate services, it is essential to supply wide range of products and to construct worldwide service network.

Nikkiso is grabbing more than 50 per cent of market share on sales of hemodialysis systems in Japan, and is facing rapid growth in overseas sales. Following the expansion of global hemodialysis market, by adding Nipro distribution network into our own network, Nikkiso is aiming to gain in global market share. Nikkiso is also investing in system development and is starting European production by the end of this year at MeSys GmbH Medizinische Systeme in Germany which was acquired last autumn.

Nipro has the aim of winning top global market share in dialyzers, and is adding more sales sites overseas to promote the globalization of its business by creating a sales promotion system fitted to the local situation in each country. To achieve such goal, Nipro decided to have a supply of hemodialysis systems from Nikkiso awarding a good reputation of highly reliable hemodialysis systems.

By supplying hemodialysis systems to Nipro and enhancing its sales network, Nikkiso is now ready to serve as a top-level manufacturer of hemodialysis systems worldwide.
