Design considerations
The sampling system handles high-temperature, high pressure sample water and therefore requires special consideration with regard to both function and safety. For example, various types of fatigue may occur, such as thermal fatigue due to frequent starting and stopping of the plant. We select pipe routing, connection methods, and materials that minimize such fatigue. We also select structures of the component devices and piping methods that ensure sampling of water at a constant flow rate over a wide range of pressures, from the lowest at plant startup to the highest at maximum load.
