Blood Volume Monitor has been placed on the market as an optional accessory for hemodialysis equipments since 2003.
A decrease in blood volume associated with ultrafiltration is considered as one of the main causes of hypotension during hemodialysis.
This monitor is capable of continuous noninvasive monitoring of patient's percent changes in blood volume (ΔBV), starting with the baseline value at the start of monitoring during hemodialysis.
It can also issue an alarm in the event of decreased ΔBV or abnormal changes in ΔBV values.
This monitor does not require proprietary consumables for dialysis monitoring, since monitoring can be performed through the surface of the predetermined arterial tube of the recommended blood circuits.
The new Blood Volume Monitor for DCG-03 / DBG-03 is able to measure vascular access recirculation rate by monitoring the venous tube at the same time.
